ASU in position to accelerate collaboration between space, semiconductor industries

More than 200 academic, business and government leaders in the space industry converged in Tempe March 19–20 for the third annual Arizona Space Summit, a statewide effort designed to elevate Arizona as a premier hub for the space sector.

The summit discussed ideas such as how Arizona’s space and semiconductor industries can collaborate for economic growth, leveraging Arizona’s research universities, and designing for permanent habitation on orbital and lunar stations.

Arizona ranks as a veritable powerhouse for chips, with exploding growth of mega fabs from TSMC and Intel in the Phoenix area.
